When mold is living in your heating vents, mold spores get pushed throughout your home whenever the heat is on. It is extremely important to remove all mold growing in your heating vents.
Things You'll Need
- Ozone machine
- Face mask
Open all windows and doors to provide adequate ventilation. Have everyone leave the house prior to starting the ozone treatment.
Cover all heating vents except for one in your home. Cut out cardboard in the appropriate sizes and tape it over the vents.
Put on a face mask and position the nozzle of the ozone machine against the open vent. Turn the machine on and leave it on for a few hours. After a few hours of passed, turn the machine off and uncover the rest of the vents. Keep your heating system off for at least 24 hours after the treatment.
