Few leather shoes can turn heads like Burberry, a British luxury fashion house that manufactures the shoes throughout Europe. Colorful, stylish and distinctive, Burberry shoes are a priceless addition to any wardrobe, which is why you’ll want to do all you can to keep them looking their best. If the shoes get stained, especially with street salt, clean them as soon as possible to keep the leather in good condition and to keep those heads turning in your direction.
Things You'll Need
- Old towel
- Soft cloths
- White vinegar and water
- Dish soap and water
- Petroleum jelly
Place the shoes on an old towel and place the towel on a flat surface.
Remove any embellishments – laces included – that may interfere with your cleaning efforts and set them aside.
Brush off any surface dirt or debris from the shoes with a soft cloth.
Mix a 50-50 solution of white vinegar and water for salt or heavy-duty stains. Dip a soft cloth into the solution and rub the shoe gently in a circular motion. Repeat several times until the stain is gone.
Combine mild dish soap and warm water. Dip a cloth into the solution and clean the surface of the shoes with gentle, circular motions.
Dip a cloth into a jar of petroleum jelly and apply a thin layer over the shoes. The jelly will protect the leather and supply a beautiful shine to your shoes at the same time.
Buff the shoes with a clean cloth until you can wear them again with pride of ownership.
