Shrimp cocktail is a dish that serves cold shrimp with cocktail sauce and is often served as an appetizer. If the frozen shrimp is cooked, thaw it out in a bowl or place it in a colander under cold running water until thawed out. If the shrimp is uncooked, place it in pot of boiling water. Add 1 tbsp. of sea salt and boil for approximately three to six minutes depending on the size. When they are done, the shrimp will float to the top of the water and they will have a white or opaque appearance. Display the shrimp on a dish and serve with cocktail sauce.
Turn the frozen shrimp into shrimp scampi. Before making this, thaw out the shrimp. Melt 4 tbsp. of butter in a frying pan and add shrimp. Add 1/2 tsp. of garlic and sauté for several minutes or until the shrimp is done. Cooked shrimp will cook faster than uncooked shrimp.

During the summer months, many people grill food often. Grilling shrimp is an ideal way to serve it. One way to do this is to grill shrimp using skewers. To do this, soak the skewers in water for approximately 30 minutes. This will help prevent them from catching on fire or burning. Place thawed shrimp on the top half of the skewers, leaving room at the bottom to use as a handle. If desired, place the skewers in marinade and then grill for several minutes on each side or until the shrimp is cooked.
