Create an Aromatherapy Furniture Polish

Use Jojoba oil, available on-line and in health food stores. This rich oil gives wood a beautiful shine. Fill he bottle with 1 fluid ounce (30ml) of oil.

Use 100% pure essential oils-only these offer aromatherapy benefits. The label will state "100% pure." You can find them at health food stores and online. Don’t use synthetic oils-they do not have the same benefits.

Add 10 drops of an essential oil whose fragrance you enjoy to the Jojoba oil. Some suggestions include floral fragrances such Ylang-Ylang, Lavender, and Lemongrass, as well as such forest fragrances as Spruce, Pine, and Cedarwood.

Cap the bottle and shake well to blend the oils.

Polish the piece of furniture gently with a soft cloth and 1/2 a teaspoon of oil. Add oil to your cloth as needed.

Tips & Warnings

  • If you want to make a larger batch of oil, simply increase the proportions, such as doubling or tripling the amounts. The oil will keep.
  • Do not use oils if you are pregnant or trying to get pregnant without getting professional advice.
  • If any skin irritation occurs, stop using immediately.
