If you like to read or watch movies about fantastical worlds that contain creatures like hobbits, you can create a whimsical craft that will encapsulate your enjoyment of fantasy worlds. For example, a hobbit house can be created out of simple materials and used as a decoration to symbolize your interest in fantasy works.

Things You'll Need

  • Cardboard, 12 inches square
  • Cardboard, 12 inches square
  • Hot glue gun
  • Hot glue stick
  • 2-liter soda bottle
  • Scissors
  • Moss

Cut an empty 2-liter bottle in half with scissors.

Discard the top of the bottle.

Cut out a curved piece from the edge of the bottom piece. This hole will be the door of the hobbit house.

Cut two circles out of the bottom piece of the bottle. These holes will be the windows of the hobbit house.

Squeeze line of hot glue along the edge of the plastic bottle half.

Press the bottle bottom onto a 12-inch square of cardboard.

Cover the surface of the bottle bottom with hot glue.

Press moss over the entire surface of the bottle bottom.

Allow the hot glue to cool completely before displaying your hobbit home model.
