Several of First Alert's residential security alarm systems utilize the FA-215 keypad as their user interface. The FA-215 is a fixed-word type of keypad, which means that it uses predetermined words to describe events taking place in the system. Homeowners can set up multiple users, each with a personal alarm code. This makes it easy to regulate the access of certain users.

Tip

You can never let more than two seconds pass between number entries when changing the code. All three steps must be performed together. If you take longer than two seconds between an entry, you'll have to repeat the procedure. The master code is selected during installation. If you forget it, a technician will have to reset it.
