Homemade Laundry Detergent for Babies

For the most part, babies have very sensitive skin, and require very mild laundry detergent. This homemade laundry detergent for babies is simple to make, inexpensive and only has three ingredients. It will leave their clothes clean and skin won't irritate sensitive skin. This detergent can be used for adults with sensitive skin as well.

Things You'll Need

  • 3 cups of Borax Detergent Booster

  • 3 cups of washing soda

  • 1 bar of unsented castile soap

Step 1: Pour 3 cups of Borax into a large bowl.

Step 2: Pour 3 cups of washing soda into the bowl.

Step 3: Add 1 bar of grated unscented castile soap.

You can chop the bar of castile soap into large pieces and grate using your food processor to save time and energy.

How to Use the Detergent

Add 1/3 cup to your laundry in place of store bought laundry detergent. This detergent is safe for HE washers.
