In a world of chaos, deadlines and daily running to and fro, it is satisfying to know you can buy pre-cooked crab cakes, which are as delicious as they are easy to prepare. You just need to know a few steps on how best to cook the crab cakes to ensure they taste as fresh as the sea they originally came from.
Step 1
Defrost frozen crab-cakes completely. Place the frozen crab cakes in the refrigerator to thaw overnight. The crab cakes are best cooked at room temperature or slightly chilled.

Heat oven to about 350 degrees Fahrenheit or 180 degrees Celsius.
Step 3
Place the crab cakes in a baking tray and cover them loosely with foil.
Step 4
Bake for 10 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for a further five minutes until the crab cakes are golden brown and crispy on top. Serve immediately.
Tip
As the crab cakes are already fully cooked, there is no need to overcook them. Serve them as soon as they are completely heated inside and brown and crispy outside.
