Things You'll Need

  • Construction paper

  • Paper cutter or scissors

  • Ruler

  • Inkjet printer

Use your computer and inkjet printer to create fun craft projects on colored construction paper. Set your printer for printing heavyweight paper and easily design your own stencils and coloring pages, paper masks, homemade cards or paper models with construction paper.

Step 1

Use a paper cutter or scissors and a ruler to cut a piece of construction paper to 8.5 inches by 11 inches. Construction paper measures 9 inches by 12 inches, which is too large for most standard printers.

Step 2

Place the construction paper into an inkjet printer. Follow the printer manufacturer's instructions for printing on card stock or other heavyweight paper.

Step 3

Open the file on your computer that you wish to print and prepare the image or text for printing. Print only in black unless using white construction paper, as colors will not print properly on colored construction paper.

Step 4

Follow the on-screen instructions to print the image or design onto the construction paper.

Step 5

Remove the construction paper from the printer and allow the ink to dry for several minutes before using.
