Step 2

Place the ribbon in-between the dowels and twist it one full turn, leaving a few inches of the ribbon on the right side of the dowels.

Step 3

Measure four inches of ribbon (on the left side of the bow maker) using the ruler on the bow maker. Fold the ribbon over itself at the four inch mark and place the folded over portion of the ribbon in between the dowels and twist it halfway to create the first loop for your ribbon!

Step 4

Repeat the same measurement of four inches on the other side of the dowels, and fold the ribbon over at the four-inch mark, twisting it halfway once it goes into the dowels. Using this method, create eight loops on each side of the dowels for a total of 16.

Step 5

Create a center loop for the bow by making a 2-inch loop on one side of the dowels.

Step 6

Cross the wire over the ribbon and push it down tightly against the ribbon to secure the loops.

Step 7

Make your bow look more fluffy and full. Starting with the bottom layers, separate the loops and fan them out by placing your hand inside of the loops and pulling them tightly before gently pulling the ribbon off of the bow maker.

Step 8

Turn the bow over and twist the wire underneath it to fully secure the bow.
