Scotch double-sided tape provides a clean finish when making a scrapbook or photo album.

Scotch double-sided tape is useful for scrapbooking, poster board presentations, envelope sealing and countless other art projects. Extremely easy to use, this tape provides a tidy alternative to other adhesives, such as glue. Another benefit to using Scotch double-sided tape is you avoid seeing any of the adhesive. Double-sided tape easily hides behind the photo or paper you are sticking it to and therefore provides a clean finish to any craft project.

Step 1

Cut Scotch double-sided tape to a size appropriate for its use. For example, if you want to stick a 4-by-6 photo onto a photo book page, cut four 2-inch pieces of tape, one for each corner of the photo. If using the adhesive to help seal a letter-sized envelope, cut two 4-inch lengths of tape, one for each diagonal of the envelope flap.

Step 2

Place the tape flat onto the back of whatever you are securing. If taping a photo, for example, stick tape flat against the back of each corner of the photo. Ensure the tape is pressed flat without any wrinkles. Wrinkles in the tape will result in a bumpy finish.

Step 3

Gently press the item you are taping onto its designated surface, a page in a scrapbook or onto a poster board for example. Use your fingers to press each corner of the item to ensure it is completely secure.
