You can always buy a bag of egg noodles in a grocery store, but making them at home is far more satisfying and the results much tastier. Homemade egg noodles are fairly simple to make and are perfect for all sorts of casseroles, beef Stroganoff, chicken noodle soup and classic pasta dishes. It takes a few hours to make the noodles, but the final dish will be well worth it.

Step 5

Sprinkle flour onto a clean surface and turn the dough pieces out onto it. Flour the rolling pin and roll out each dough section out until it is paper thin. If the pasta is too thick, it will not cook properly.

Step 6

Cut the rolled-out dough into strips using a pizza wheel. Thin noodles should be about 1/8 inch thick.

Step 7

Place the noodles on a clean, dry towel and let them dry for about two hours. If you want the noodles to be smaller, break them into smaller pieces when they have dried.
