Things You'll Need

  • Clear plastic buttons

  • Photos

  • Pencil

  • Scissors

  • Thin scrap paper

Usually when your children get school pictures or team pictures taken there is an option to order photo buttons made from the pictures, but of course there is a cost associated with this option. If you want to wear your parent pride on your jacket, but you don't want to pay the cost or you want the buttons made with different pictures, you can make your own photo buttons. Use any pictures you want after a simple and inexpensive trip to your local craft store.

Step 2

Use the template to to decide how you want to trim the photo that you will use for your photo button. Place the template over the photo you want for your button and move the template piece to the image you want on your button. Hold the photo and image up to the light to make sure the image fits in the template and looks like you want it to.

Step 3

Hold the template in place and cut around it once you are happy with what appears behind the scrap piece of paper.

Step 4

Place the photo, face down, into the top of the clear top of the button. Trim the photo down more if necessary to make it fit in the top.

Step 5

Snap the back on the button once the photo fits in the top properly and you are happy with it.
