Things You'll Need

  • Bucket

  • Dishwashing liquid

  • 1 cup white vinegar

  • Vacuum cleaner with attachment hose

  • Rags

  • Household lubricating spray

The track of a sliding door will accumulate dirt and debris, which can make it squeak.

Continuous opening and closing of a sliding door can make the track dry and lead to squeaking. Dirt and grime trapped in the track can keep the door from sliding properly and also make it squeak. However, it doesn't take long to get your sliding door moving freely, which will in turn eliminate the noise.
