If you don't have an Amazon Prime membership or prefer to spend your money at independent retailers, there are dozens of competing sales to check out this week. Even shoppers who are planning on making a purchase during the Prime Early Access Sale should peruse Amazon's rivals (Walmart, Target and Wayfair all come to mind) before adding that item to their online shopping cart. These big-box retailers have been known to offer even steeper discounts on hot ticket items in an effort to win over customers.
Here we've rounded up the best competing Prime Day sales that you can shop now—just be sure to take note of the dates because some of these sales are taking place outside of Amazon's two-day shopping extravaganza (Tuesday, October 11, and Wednesday, October 12).
