  • Marking chalk

Step 1

Fold up 5 inches of the bottom of the placemat and pin both sides. Sew along each edge.

Step 2

Place the items you wish to store onto the fold and place pins to mark how large each pocket will be.

Use a straight edge and chalk to mark the pocket lines. Remove the pins.

Sew along each pocket line using a straight stitch. Be sure to lock the stitches in place by backstitching at each end.
