Freeze Dance

Video of the Day

Freeze dance is a simple game that can result in lots of laughter and funny moments. Everyone dances however they wish as you play the selected music. Without notice, the music shuts off, and everyone must freeze instantly. Anyone who continues moving is out of the game. The music starts up again and continues playing until only one person is left.

Dancing Musical Chairs

Musical chairs is a classic game for kids' parties. Chairs are set in a circle with one fewer chair than there are players. As the music plays, the players move around the chairs. To make the game more suitable for the dance party theme, have the players dance as they move around the chairs. When the music stops, the players scramble to sit down on one of the chairs. The person without a chair is out of the game. Remove one of the chairs and repeat the process until only one person is left.

Dance Contest

A dance contest is a natural option for a dance party. Have two or three dancers come up to the front to dance for a certain length of time. Once the time is up, a winner is selected based on the reaction from the other party guests. Continue the rounds of dance contests until everyone has had a chance. For the final round, have all the winners from the previous rounds compete.

Partner Switch

This game works only if there are an odd number of players. One person stands in the middle holding a flag. Everyone else has a partner and the pairs dance around the person holding the flag. The person in the middle tosses the flag in the air and everyone must switch partners. The person in the middle tries to find a partner, leaving someone else without one. Whoever ends up without a partner goes to the middle and holds the flag. This game can go on for as long as you like.
