Pork Yok is a dish that combines seared pork with Chinese spices. Some variations of the dish include noodles while other recipes include shrimp. The key to making the dish is quickly cooking the meat in a pan, also known as stir-frying, and the inclusion of soy sauce as a flavor. What you include in the dish is up to you. Examples of vegetables that go well with Yok include bamboo shoots, water chestnuts and Chinese mushrooms.
