The Pillow People are a series of dolls released by the Pillow People Company that started as a cuddly bedtime companion and quickly became a phenomenon. Shaped like small pillows, these dolls have cute faces and plush bodies and are the perfect snuggle buddy. Dressing up like one of these well-known characters is a creative idea and is fairly easy to make.
Things You'll Need
- Cotton batting
- Piece of cardboard or oak tag
- Magic markers
- Shirt of your choice two sizes too big
- Duct tape
- Pajama pants
Measure the cardboard to the size of the pillowcase by placing the pillowcase on top of the cardboard and drawing around all sides.
Cut out the cardboard and stuff inside the pillowcase.
Draw a face on the front of the pillowcase using the markers. Make sure the mouth is about one third of the way up the pillowcase.
Stuff the top of the pillowcase with cotton batting, stopping about halfway down.
Try on the pillowcase, by pulling it on over your head, to make sure that the mouth lines up with your eyes. If not, add more batting or take some away until it does.
Cut two small holes in the mouth so that you are able to see out.
Put on the shirt and stuff this with cotton batting or small pillows. Make sure they stay in place by taping around your whole body tightly with duct tape.
Put on the pajama pants and the slippers.
