Epic Maytag washers are front-loading washing machines. The washers have a control knob to select different washing cycles, buttons to select a soil level and options such as pre-wash and extra rinse. The keys are sensitive, so Epic washers have a button that locks the control panel to stop accidental activation of a new option during a cycle. Unlocking the control panel is as simple as the touch of a button.
Step 1
Place your finger on the "Cycle End Signal" button on your Maytag Epic washer control panel.

Hold your finger in place for at least three seconds until the "Control Locked" status LED light on the control panel goes off.
Step 3
Release your finger from the button and wait a moment to ensure that the controls have unlocked.
