Despite its size, a heart rug is a great beginner's crochet project because it is best made with chunky yarn and a large crochet hook, or with strips of fabric to make a crocheted rag rug. Not just for Valentine's Day--though a heart rug would add ambiance and charm to any V-Day party--heart rugs are perfect for little girl's rooms, bathrooms, doormats and more. Whether you add some old-country charm with a hand-crocheted heart rug or use rag strips to get into the eco-groove and make an recycled rug, a heart rug will be sure to warm both your heart and your feet.
