The Whirlpool Cielo jet tub is designed to comfortably fit into your home's bathroom, providing a spa experience in the privacy of your own space. There are many cleaning products designed to clean bathtubs, but there is a much smaller selection when it comes to cleaning jetted tubs. You must take into account the amount of dirt, body oil and soap scum that becomes present as you soak in the tub, as all of these elements are pulled into and pushed out of the tub jets. When not cleaned properly, these elements clog the jets and harbor bacteria.
Step 1
Plug your tub and fill with hot water to just above all jet line openings.

Pour 2 cups white vinegar into the tub to give a deodorizing and disinfecting quality that will break up mineral deposits, mold and mildew.
Step 3
Drop 2 dishwasher detergent tablets into the water, which will clean and remove soap scum without creating soap suds.
Step 4
Turn on the Cielo jet tub at high speed, running the jets for 20 minutes.
Step 5
Drain the tub, refill with plain warm water and allow to run for an additional 10 minutes. This additional run will wash out any leftover residue and cleaning solution. Drain the tub once more when finished.
