Things You'll Need

  • 1 lb. ground beef

  • Frying pan

  • 1 jar of spaghetti sauce

  • 8 oz. of uncooked pasta

  • Crock pot

  • Parmesan cheese

Pasta is an affordable meal that can be used in a variety of recipes. Most people cook their pasta on a stove by adding it to boiling water. There is, however, another method to cook your pasta—you can use your crock pot. Crock pots are great because you don't have to stand over the top of them and babysit your dish. They give you the freedom to create your meal and then walk away until meal time. One important thing to remember when cooking your pasta is that you must have some sort of liquid or sauce in the crock pot along with the pasta.

Tip

If you want to make mac and cheese in a crock pot, use two cups of milk, three tbsp. of flour, and eight oz. of shredded cheese with your pasta. Cook in the crock pot on high for one hour.

Add green peppers, onions and mushrooms to the pasta dish.

Warning

If you add cooked pasta to this recipe it will become too mushy.

Do not add water to the crock pot to cook your pasta. The sauce is all you need. Adding water will make the sauce runny.
