Things You'll Need

  • 1½ sticks salted butter, cold

  • ½ cup granulated sugar

  • 1 cup brown sugar

  • 2 eggs

  • ½ tablespoon vanilla extract

  • ½ teaspoon baking soda

  • 2 cups flour

  • 2 cups chocolate chips

Tip

Add a mix of semi-sweet and milk chocolate chips for a depth of flavor.

Step 1: Preheat and Mix Wet Ingredients

Preheat oven to 375°F. In the bowl of a stand mixer, cream the butter and sugars together on medium speed until combined. Add in eggs and vanilla and mix until smooth. Sift baking soda and flour into the wet ingredients. Mix well. Add in chocolate chips and stir until barely mixed.

Step 2: Bake Cookies

Drop cookie dough into 1½ inch balls on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Bake on 375°F for 11 to 12 minutes until golden around edges. Remove from oven and let cool 5 to 10 minutes.. Makes two dozen.
