Queso dip is a universal crowd pleaser! While everyone has their favorite queso dip recipe, there are few that surpass the taste of Chili's famous queso dip. What if I told you that you could make the same dip at home with a few simple ingredients? (I'd say you would be pretty excited about that possibility!) It's a perfect appetizer to make whenever company comes over, planned or unplanned, because it is so simple to whip up quickly. Honestly, I have yet to meet anyone who doesn't rave over this dip and they always want to know how they can make it at home too. You are going to love having this recipe on hand for so many different occasions!

Things You'll Need

  • 16 oz. Velveeta cheese
  • 15 oz. can of chili (no beans)
  • 1 cup of whole milk
  • 2 teaspoons chili powder
  • 2 teaspoons cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice
  • Tortilla chips for serving

Step 1: Cut Cheese Into Cubes

Cut cheese into 1-inch cubes for easier melting time.

Step 2: Add Ingredients to an Iron Skillet

Add all ingredients to an iron skillet and heat over medium heat, stirring frequently until cheese is melted and ingredients are combined well.

Serve the hot queso dip with tortilla chips and eat right away.
