There's nothing like surprising your favorite friend with a refreshing cold drink on a summer day or showing up with something hot for them to sip on when it's chilly. The next time you arrive with that special drink in your hands, why not surprise them even more by wrapping it up in a custom cozie that you made yourself. All it takes is just a few small pieces of fabric to create just the right wrap for hot and cold refreshments. Your friends (and your hands) will thank you.
Things You'll Need
11 ½ x 5-inch piece of insulated fabric
11 ½ x 5-inch pieces of coordinating fabric
Hook and loop fasteners
Place the two pieces of fabric with right sides together and place them on top of the insulated fabric.
Pin the three layers together.
Sew together with a ¼-inch seam allowance and leave a 4-inch opening on one of the long sides.
Clip all four corners at an angle. Be careful to not cut the stitches.
Pull the fabric through the opening to turn it right side out.
Tuck in the raw edges of the opening and press. Press all the edges flat.
Pin the opening closed.
Close the opening by topstitching ¼-inch in from the side. Continue to topstitch around all four sides.
Adhere the hook and loop fasteners to one of the short sides.
Turn the cozie over to the other side and adhere the hook and loop fasteners to the opposite short side.
OK now, that's a wrap!
