You can easily store your left over homemade potato chips.

In North America potato chips are commonly eaten with a variety of sandwiches and as a snack. Homemade potato chips provide an even tastier option and can be easily made with all types of potatoes, oil and salt. Although homemade potato chips taste best if you eat them fresh, you may have leftovers. You can store potato chips one of several different ways after you fry them.

Step 1

Put them in a bowl with a towel draped over them. Depending on how greasy the chips turned out, you might try this option to help absorb any oil. You could also store the chips this way if you plan to eat them within the next six to eight hours.

Store potato chips in an airtight container. For longer storage periods, this option works well. While the chips taste best when they are fresh, they will last at least three weeks this way.

Step 3

Store the chips in a sealable sandwich bag. This a good option if you plan to take the chips with you, or send them with a family member, as a snack or pack them in a lunch within the next few days. The chips should stay fresh for about a week when stored this way.

You may reheat the potato chips after they have been store for a while if you like.
