Things You'll Need

  • Spray bottle

  • Ammonia

  • Nonabrasive scouring pad

  • Paper towels

Maytag manufactures a wide range of ovens for home cooks. Whether you use a gas, convection or electric oven, the cooking process often results in food and grease splatters. When food residue comes in contact with the glass oven door, it can burn onto the hot glass and leave a tough film behind. The door's exterior is often exposed to fingerprints and debris from range cooking. While the self-cleaning feature can burn away any stains on the oven's interior, the process takes hours to complete. Clean the glass door with common household products to restore its clarity and appearance.
