Dried apples add a comforting, warm touch to any potpourri.

Homemade potpourri will give your home a wonderful smell based around the dried flower, fruits, or essential oils used to create it. A wonderful way to create a holiday or winter vibe is to use dried apples in the potpourri. The scent will be very similar to an apple pie baking in the oven. Making the dried apple slices is simple and can be done quickly so you can go forth in creating the potpourri.
