You can wash polyester microplush material in the machine or by hand. Some items made from polyester microplush material include blankets, cleaning clothes and robes. Wash the material with cotton or polyester, if needed. It requires no extra washing care than other fabrics.

- Large bucket
- Liquid laundry detergent
- Warm water

Pour a teaspoon of liquid laundry soap into a bucket.
Add warm water. Fill the bucket halfway full.
Put the material into the bucket. Use your hands to move the material around in the water.
Lay a washboard in the bucket. Gently scrub the material against the board.
Rinse the material with clean water. Wring out the excess water. Hang it out to dry.
Put the material in the washer. Fill the washer three-quarters of the way full with fabric.
Pour a capful of liquid detergent into the washer.
Set the water temperature to warm. Wash as usual.
Remove the wet fabric. Put it in the dryer. Avoid using fabric softener and dryer sheets. The chemicals clog up the fibers.
Set the dryer to a normal setting to dry.
