How to Cook Hormel Boneless Pork Roast

  • 2 lb. Hormel boneless pork loin

  • 1 tsp. garlic powder

  • 1 tsp. onion powder

  • ½ tsp. black pepper

  • 1 tsp. dried parsley

  • 2 tbsp. olive oil

  • Shallow baking pan

  • Meat thermometer

  • Aluminum foil

Hormel offers a large variety of meats. Some are pre-marinated, while others are plain. Boneless pork loin roasts are sold plain. Tender and juicy, this roast takes little time or experience to cook to perfection. Hormel's pork roasts can be prepared for a large dinner party or just a small family gathering. When seasoned and cooked according to your favorite recipe, this roast is sure to make for a satisfying meal.

Step 1

Preheat the oven to 325 degrees Fahrenheit. Set the pork roast on the counter and bring to room temperature, about 30 to 40 minutes.

Combine the garlic and onion powder, black pepper, parsley and olive oil in a bowl. Stir to mix thoroughly.

Unwrap the roast and place it in a baking pan. Spread the seasoning mixture over the top of the meat. It is not necessary to cover the roast while cooking.

Step 4

Place the pan in the oven and cook 20 to 25 minutes per pound. Insert the meat thermometer into the thickest part of the roast. The meat is finished cooking when the thermometer reads 150 to 155 degrees Fahrenheit.

Step 5

Remove the pan from the oven and place the meat on a plate. Loosely cover with aluminum foil for 10 minutes, allowing the meat to rest. This helps the juices to distribute evenly throughout the cooked meat.

Step 6

Cut your Hormel boneless pork roast into slices as thick as you want them and serve.

Warning

Do not over cook your pork roast or it may become dry.
