How to Cook Hamburgers on Panini Grills

Preparing meals at home is an excellent way to save money. You don't have to travel to a restaurant, and you can prepare a variety of meals in no time on a panini grill. From vegetables to hamburgers, a panini grill can quickly provide your family with a meal in less than 10 minutes. All you have to do is season your hamburgers and turn on the panini grill.

Step 1

Place hamburger meat in a bowl, and season as desired. Work the seasonings into the meat with your hands.

Shape the hamburger meat into patties.

Turn on your panini grill.

Place one or two hamburger patties on the panini grill once it is ready to accept food (different models may use indicator lights or audio signals to show that the grill is properly heated).

Depending on the size of your panini grill, you may be able to cook three hamburger patties at once.

Close the grill's lid.

Place a kitchen towel under the front part of the panini grill to catch any grease that may leak out.

Let the hamburger patties cook for six to seven minutes for a well-done burger. For a medium-rare burger, let the patties cook for three to four minutes.

Open the grill's lid, and check the temperature of the burgers with a meat thermometer. The internal temperature of the burgers should be 170 F.

Close the grill's lid if you want the burgers to cook longer, or remove the hamburgers from the grill and place them on a plate or serving tray if they are done to your liking.

Wipe the panini grill lightly with a paper towel before placing the next batch of hamburger patties to cook on it.

To clean your panini grill, let it cool, and then wipe it with a damp cloth after each use.

Warning

Do not place frozen hamburgers on your panini grill. Remove them from the freezer the day before you plan to cook them, and let them thaw in your refrigerator.
