Any holiday ham can use a glaze. A combination brown sugar and orange glaze is simple to put together. It's enough to glaze a 5 to 6 lb. boneless or a bone-in ham. It can be easily doubled to accommodate a larger ham.
Things You'll Need
1 cup of packed light brown sugar
4 tbsp. orange juice
1 tsp. of ground mustard
Mix the brown sugar, orange juice and ground mustard together in a medium sized mixing bowl. If you prefer, you can use pineapple juice instead of orange juice for the glaze. Mix together until brown sugar is well diluted into the juice.
Brush the glaze over the ham during the last 35 or 40 minutes of the baking time.
Garnish the ham with whole cloves and either sliced oranges or pineapple rings.
Let the ham rest for 10 minutes after it is removed from the oven. Leave it under a tent of aluminum foil before carving it.
