How to Make a Snoopy Costume. Comic-strip characters make great inspirations for a Halloween costume. No character is more inspiring than Snoopy from the Peanuts comic strip. This lovable beagle started out as a silent character, but soon became one of the cartoon's strongest voices. He also enjoys dressing up, so a Snoopy Halloween costume is a great tribute.

Step 1

Find a white sweat suit with a hood to make Snoopy's body. Thrift shops often have sweat suits at affordable prices. Turn the sweat suit inside out to create additional fur.

Step 2

Cut some long floppy ears out of black felt and sew them onto the hood. Cut an irregular patch of black felt and sew it to the back of the sweat suit.

Step 3

Use some felt to make a short black tail for your costume. Attach it to the seat of the pants. You can also make paw pads for the hands and feet from black felt.

Step 4

Sew the felt paw pads to the socks for the hands and feet. Put on the sweat suit and the white socks.

Step 5

Paint your face with white face paint. Add black face paint for the nose and eyebrows. Put on your gloves. You are now dressed like Snoopy for Halloween.

Tip

For babies, a white romper suit is an alternative for Snoopy's body. Adults may wear a white long sleeved shirt and pants instead of a sweat suit. White sneakers are a good alternative to socks if you are going to be outdoors trick-or-treating.
