Hook and loop adhesive backed tape

Whether they are sports medals earned by a child's efforts on the playing field or military medals awarded for accomplishments on the battlefield, medals are visible accolades that you should proudly display. Mount medals in a shadow box so you can view them frequently and protect them from dust. Create a shadow box featuring the medals of a loved one as a thoughtful gift and a gesture of appreciation and admiration of that person's achievements.
Step 1
Lay the shadow box on a flat surface with the hinged side facing up.

Step 2
Open the hinged door.
Step 3
Lay the medals against the hook and loop backing material in an arrangement that is aesthetically pleasing. If you are hanging military medals, you must place them in order of the highest honor. Place military medals highest in the shadow box, followed by ribbons and then badges.
Step 4
Lift one medal from the shadow box. Flip the medal over so that the back is facing up. Lay a piece of hook and loop adhesive backed tape against the back of the medal. Cut the tape to the same size as the medal using the scissors. Peel the adhesive backing off the tape and press the adhesive side of the tape onto the back of the medal.
Step 5
Return the medal to the shadow box and press the medal firmly against the shadow box's hook and loop backing material.
Step 6
Lift each of the remaining medals individually. Line each with the hook and loop adhesive backed tape. Return each medal to the shadow box and press it firmly against the shadow box's hook and loop backing material.
Step 7
Close the hinged door.
Tip
Purchase a shadow box that includes the adhesive backed hook and loop tape. The included tape will be a heavy duty tape strong enough to hold heavy medals.
