How to Remove Coffee Stains From a Mug

Things You'll Need

  • Lemon juice

  • Hot water

  • Baking soda

  • Liquid dish soap

  • Sponge

Step 1: Weaken Stain

Add a few squirts of lemon juice into the mug and swirl it around so it touches all stained spots.

Next, pour hot water into the mug, making sure all stained parts are submerged. Let the mixture sit for 15-20 minutes.

Step 2: Create Scrubbing Paste

Once the stain has been weakened, it's time to create the scrubbing paste. First, add about an inch of baking soda.

Then add a few drops of liquid dish soap.

Finish the paste with a few drops of water — just enough to create a pasty consistency.
