Hello, everyone. I'm Joshua Clement, and this is how to install toggle drywall anchors. These anchors are a great way to put stuff wherever you want on the wall and not having to worry about where a stud is. For this job I'm going to be using a battery-powered drill with a bit that's a little bit bigger than my toggle bolt. We're going to also be using a Phillips tip bit. The first step is go ahead and get your drill and your bit ready, know where you want to put this toggle bolt and just poke a hole through there with your bit. The next I'm going to take my toggle bolt, make sure that the flat side is facing the washer on my toggle bolt, that way when I slide it through the hole, it will pinch the toggle bolt closed as it passes through the hole it's going to flip open. So we're going to take our toggle bolt and slide it through the hole. You should have heard a click in that, that's opening up the wing nut on the other side and allowing it to compress against your drywall as we tighten it down. Now we're going to pull out on our screw a little bit and go ahead and tighten it down to wherever you need it to hang your picture on or put your cabinets up with. When I'm hanging a picture on my wall I like to leave it about a half inch away, that way as I'm sitting the frame up there, it's not going to be scratching against my wall. Toggle bolts are really easy to put in and you can put them anywhere. They are perfect for hanging pictures up or putting some cabinets up when you need just a little bit more strength. Thank you all for watching and good luck with this project.
