Hi, I'm interior designer, Christopher Grubb with Arch-Interiors. People think as a designer I get called in only on new projects, that's not the case. Realtors often call me to come in and consult with the seller on what's going to appeal to a buyer. I've often heard people leave an open house and say, I love the house, but I hated that bathroom. You may personally love colors like this, this is what's going to appeal to the most buyers. One of the things I evaluate when I walk into the room, is what do the metals look like? Do the sink faucets look new, do the shower heads look new, do the towel bars look new? If not, you need to change them, it's got to look clean, it's got to sparkle. Here's a great example of a project where we did new towel bars. You can see the hotel rack and we also painted out the vanity, makes it look fresh and clean. And you may have a great existing vanity, but maybe just change the handles on it. One other thing too, is the light fixture. If there's an inexpensive light fixture on your ceiling, change it out to something new, give it a new dimension, make it look brand new. The person walking in wants to feel like they're coming into a new space, no one's lived in. And take the time to stage it, fresh flowers, potpourri, plush towels. And the last tip, make sure and get rid of any product that's sitting around, old shampoo bottles, anything that's distracting. You want to sell this. I'm Christopher Grubb, and thank you for watching.
