How Do I Clean the Glass on My Majestic Fireplace Model DV580 RFN?
The Majestic fireplace model DV580 RFN is a vented gas appliance that installs in an existing fireplace. The unit features a glass window set into a steel frame for viewing the gas logs inside. Over time, smoke and soot may accumulate on the glass, obscuring your view of the fire. The entire glass panel and frame must be removed from the Majestic fireplace for cleaning. Release the three clamps at the bottom of the fireplace below the glass door when the appliance is completely cool.

Tilt the glass frame outward from the bottom and lift until it clears the three tabs at the top of the fireplace.

Set the glass frame on a towel spread on a flat surface with the front side of the glass facing downward.

Pour liquid dish-washing soap onto the dirty surface of the glass and scrub with a sponge dampened in warm water.

Rinse the glass when clean to remove soap residue. Dry with a towel.

Insert the top edge of the glass frame under the three taps at the top of the fireplace and push into position from the bottom.

Close the three clamps at the bottom of the fireplace.
