How to Refill a Bean Bag
Bean bags are a popular item in teen decor and in college dorms because they do not take up a lot of room. However, over time they begin to deflate and lose any firmness they once had. While it's not hard to refill a bean bag chair, it does take a practiced hand and a lot of patience to do so. Does this Spark an idea?

1
Pick out an enclosed area with not much air circulation. This is so excess "beads" don't fly around and cause a mess.
-
2
Find the zipper on the chair and open it enough to be able to see inside. Once you find the zipper, you might need to use a paperclip to help pry it up. This will make it easier to unzip. If the bean bag has no liner, don't open it much further until you're ready to add the "beans."

3
Get your refill bag of beans and cut open a corner with the scissors. Have your helper hold the bag.
-
4
Unzip the bag just enough to fit the corner of the refill bag. Have your helper carefully empty the contents into the bean bag, not allowing any to escape into the air.
-
5
Add only enough of the refill for your comfort level. Once done, carefully remove the refill bag and zip up the zipper.

Tips & Warnings
Remember, the old "beans" don't have to be removed in order to refill the bag with new ones. The process of refilling the bean bag is just to firm it back up for continued use.
