How to Remove Shower Floor Tiles
Shower floor tiles are commonly installed with mortar, which is a cement-based product. Leaks in the grout lines of the tiles require removal of the floor tiles. Unfortunately, you will need to remove all of the floor tiles, even if only a few tiles are affected. Shower floor tiles will initially need to be chipped out with a small concrete chisel, and then a wide concrete chisel can be used to chip out the remaining floor tiles. Does this Spark an idea?

Put on safety glasses to protect your eyes against debris. Place a small cement chisel's tip on the side of a single floor tile.

2
Pound the cement chisel with a hammer until the tile pops out. Continue removing a few more tiles with the small cement chisel.

3
Use a wide cement chisel to remove the rest of the floor tiles, using the same method you used with the small cement chisel. Be careful to not crack the concrete under the tiles.

4
Lift out the broken tiles and dispose of them. Vacuum up all of the debris from the shower floor with a vacuum, once all the tiles are removed.
