      Ensure that the recess is framed properly, the dimensions are correct and the supports are plumb and square.

      Install the stringer supports along the walls that you are installing the bathtub against, approximately 14 inches from floor to stringer. You want them installed high enough so that the lip of the bathtub rests on the stringers for support.

      Install the drain assembly onto the tub. Follow all manufacturer's instructions.

      Slide the bathtub into place, ensuring the edges of the tub are resting on the stringers.
