Instructions

    • 1

Remove all doors from cabinet fronts. Save the hinges and screws in a plastic bag if they will be used again.

    • 2

Remove all shelving from inside the cabinets.

    • 3

Remove screws from side panels that connect adjoining cabinets. Disconnecting cabinets reduces the weight when lifting from the wall.

    • 4

Place blocks, or some form of support, under the cabinet. Use the support to set the cabinet on as it releases from the wall. Place the support as close to the bottom of the cabinet as possible.

    • 5

Remove the screws that hold the cabinet to the wall. Use the help of a second person to lower and balance the cabinet on the support. If nails are holding the cabinet to the wall, use a prying bar to loosen the nails. Use the claw end of a hammer to pull the nails out. Prevent damage to the wall by placing a thin board under the prying bar.
