A hook is a versatile, useful accessory to hang on your wall. It can support a decent amount of weight to hang pictures, racks, pots and more. Most wall hooks can be installed with simple tools like a power drill and screwdriver. Simply mount the base directly to the wall, and your hook is ready to use.
Things You'll Need
- Drill Wall screws Anchors Screwdriver
Place the hook on the wall where you would like to install it.
Holding the hook in place, mark the wall through the mounting holes in the base. Make dark marks so you can see them easily.
Create small, 1-inch pilot holes; drill out the holes with a 3/32-inch drill bit and power driver. If the holes do not hit a stud (only drywall), install plastic anchor sleeves into the holes that match the size of your screws.
Place the hook over the holes and line them up with the mounting bracket holes. Screw in the screws that came with the hook. If no screws came with the hook, match up screws that fit inside the holes, with wide enough heads to securely hold the hook to the wall.
