Measuring and cutting the fabric

Measure the front, back, and sides of the bean bag chair. To make a top and bottom for the chair, cut out two pieces of fabric; before you cut, add 1 inch to all of the edges of the fabric for sewing the pieces together.

With right sides together, sew the top and bottom pieces together with a 7/8 inch seam on 3 of the edges. Leave one side open for inserting the bean bag. Sew a strip of Velcro on both the top and bottom opening of the remaining side.

Place the bean bag inside the cover and close it by pressing the two Velcro strips together.

Use a microfiber fabric or a fabric that is stain and spill resistant.
