How to Make a Brick Fire Pit
A fire pit is a great addition to any backyard. All this particular fire pit design calls for is brick and an open area. It can be used to roast marshmallows, provide warmth on a late summer night, or serve as a gathering point for social get-togethers. Choose a place in your backyard for a fire pit. Make sure that it wont be a fire hazard.

Chose a shape and size for your brick fire pit. A circle fire pit is an easy shape to create and takes the least amount of material, but rectangle and square designs also look nice.

Lay the first row of brick in the size and shape of fire pit desired. Keep a 2 inch gap between each brick.

Arrange the second layer of brick in a staggered fashion so that each brick (of the second row) covers half of two bricks of the first row of the fire pit. Again, leave a 2 inch gap. Repeat this process 7 times.

Now you have built your own backyard fire pit. The only thing left to do now is find firewood and some friends for a hotdog roast.
