How to Download Free Deck Plan Building Software

You can virtually build your deck, add accessories and shrubbery and change the appearance with the stroke of your mouse. Decide if a multi-level deck would look good with your home or if you want the traditional rectangular deck. Create the deck of your dreams virtually, then physically, with deck plan software.

1. Review the deck plan software options. Many of the ones you have to purchase include free trial periods. Try these plans since they may offer more options than the free software plans do.

2. Choose the options that best fit your plan ideas. For example, if you have been thinking about a multi-level deck, then look at software that includes this feature. If you want a deck that wraps around your home, look at examples of those decks first.

3. Pick the free software that works best for you. Navigate to that webpage and click on "Download."

4. Click "Run" when the next screen pops up. Wait for the download to finish. Usually the next screen that comes up will be the install wizard, which will ask you if you want to install this product. Choose "Yes," and follow the on screen instructions to install.

5. Allow the program to put an icon on your desktop for the product so you can find it easily after the download. Double-click this icon to open the program after it downloads. Repeat steps 3 -- 5 to download additional programs.

6. Play with the software to create your perfect deck. Add wooden railing or change it to wrought iron. Close your deck in for the ultimate screen room. Add windows for an all weather room. Change the appearance as often as you like until you have the deck options exactly as you want them.

Tips & Warnings

• Since most programs give you a free trial, do not limit yourself to just one download. Look at various programs for more ideas on which deck will serve you best. Read tips on deck usage before you buy (see Resources below).
• Remember that you have to build this deck or have it built by a professional. Although, wrap around and multi level decks look great and add value to your home, they do cost considerably more than traditional decks. They are more intricate to build as well. Consider more modest options if pricing and skills are a consideration.
