Things You'll Need:
- Grill
- Paint
-
Step 1
Painted GrillClean that old grill up, then give it a fresh new look. No one will know the better, on how old that grill is, when you get through.
-
Step 2
Can of PaintYou'll want to get a good can of paint. I used the paint that can withstand high temperatures, and is made for such things. Using the wrong kind of paint can cause disasters, like your grill catching on fire, when you light it up. Yep, it happens, i saw one go up in flames because the owner used the wrong kind of paint.
-
Step 3
Spray the grill lightly. Go back over it with a second coat. Now wait a few minutes. If you see any rust popping through anywhere, just spray over it again. You'll want to do a good job the first time. Not only does the spray make your grill look great, it also protects your grill from the elements such as rain, sleet, etc., which makes your grill rust out.
-
Step 4
A good can of spray paint will cost you approximately $4.00 to $5.00. But if you consider, a new grill will cost you around $30.00 and up. Weighing the odds, i would go for the can of spray paint. Mine looks pretty good, i think. It still works as good as new, and now it even looks better.

on 1/17/2009 Good tips! To add: Remove the rust before painting; It will last even longer and you won't have to paint as often.
