Things You'll Need
- Primer paint
- Base coat paint
- Accent paint
- Brushes
- Painter's masking tape

Tape all surrounding edges and apply the primer paint. When completely dry, paint the walls with the base coat to prepare for the final accent colors.

Select one or two shades of complementary colors of latex paint. Apply over completely dried walls.

Use a wallpaper brush to achieve the textured effect of grass cloth. Dip the brush with a light coat of accent color and drag the brush in a vertical downward movement, covering a section from the top to the bottom of the wall.

Complete the entire wall and allow it to dry. Repeat the same procedure with paint a shade lighter in the same tone. This will achieve a natural grass cloth look.
