This article describes applying sealer to pavers at your home. This process is not too complicated and extends the life of the pavers. It also has aesthetic values as well because the pavers will boast an impressive sheen once the process is complete.
Things You'll Need
- Pressure washer (if pavers are dirty)
- De-greasing liquid
- Medium nap roller
- Clear sealer
- Large metal paint tray
Clean off pavers with pressure washer if needed. It is important that the pavers be as clean as possible.
Apply de-greaser to pavers to remove any excess grease and dirt missed by the pressure washer.
Allow pavers to fully dry for at least six hours.
Poor clear sealer into a metal paint tray and set at a close proximity to pavers.
Carefully dip roller into the metal tray of sealer and apply fully to the entire roller.
Roll sealer onto pavers in fluid motion as thoroughly as possible so that the pavers become saturated as much as possible.
Allow to dry for at least six hours, taking care to not step on the pavers during this time.
Tips & Warnings
- Do not allow sealer to puddle, otherwise it will leave a residue.
- Make sure that area is well ventilated.
- Make sure to start the sealer process from the corner of the pavers and work your way out.
